DOCfield Barcelona
The documentary photography festival reaches its 5th edition
DOCfield Barcelona, a festival organized by the Fundación Photographic Social Vision, a non-profit organization committed to disseminating the social value of documentary photography and photojournalism, challenges the public through these disciplines, proposing 25 exhibitions reflecting on the mobility of people, the different ways of traveling, whether by necessity or by desire, and how the itineraries and encounters that result from it transform human and geographical identity.
Within the official section, the DOCfield Route, the festival -which has changed its dates from spring to autumn- allows you to "travel" through its programming following a geographical axis that crosses Barcelona from Av. Diagonal-Passeig de Gràcia to the Columbus Monument, including the following spaces: Palau Robert, Espai Mercè Sala, Universitat de Barcelona, FNAC Triangle, CC Pati Llimona, Arts Santa Mònica and Museu Marítim.

In addition to the Route of 9 exhibitions, for which the festival organizes guided tours and presentations with its authors, DOCfield includes 16 other exhibitions in invited venues - galleries, art centers, civic centers - and free audiovisual projections outdoors in the DOCfield Night.
As a novelty, this edition has hosted the first professional day DOCfield PRO, "Prescribers and audiences, success stories that inspire change", which reflected on the role of contemporary prescribers: how to connect with the audience, identify it and consolidate it. Sponsored by Photographic Social Vision and Oxfam Intermón, it demonstrated successful examples of connecting with audiences through innovative strategies such as the NGO Proactiva Open Arms, the crowdfunding platform at the service of the Verkami culture, the digital transformation of The New York Times or the importance of the virtual spokesman in communication crisis such of the Mossos d'Esquadra case, among others.
