As Rhythm Was Easy
Lina V Persson. Impossible Project Barcelona
Impossible Project Barcelona presents "As rhythm was easy", an exhibition by Lina V Persson that is composed of 34 Polaroid snaps.
As rhythm was easy is a visual tale choreographed by the ticking of a clock that announces a suspension of time, temps mort during which everything remains undone. Unrecognizable bodies adopting disturbing poses, disintegrating faces diluted by the light, almost imperceptible movements, the passing of the seasons and the unstoppable passage of time irrefutable ... Persson describes the feeling transmitted by these images as "an accidental rhythm."
As rhythm was easy celebrates a state of mind that recognizes our fragility faced with change, the transience of time and loss of earthly beauty which is predestined to fade. Persson purposely leaves aside multiple chapters, what remains here are the loose frames, pieces of a story that remain to be constructed.
