Nowadays the possibility of producing small-scale, industrial-quality design and the promotion of those products without relying on middle-men anywhere in the world, makes it possible for independent craftsmen and designers to be increasingly recognised, bringing their unique vision to a world saturated with technology, and one where perhaps unsurprising playfulness, fun and intuition are more neccesary than ever before.
We present Hotel Oasis, a project designed by Lafede Studiostore, architect and curator in collaboration with David Méndez Alonso, artist and creative. A collection of objects inspired by a spiritual journey where the abstract, the real and world of dreams come together through the use of symbols.

The first collection is dedicated to the 4 compass points and 4 elements represented by the eye, the hand, the leaf and the triangle. Hybrid designs somewhere between sculpture, furniture and good luck charms, offering functionality as well as a mystical attitude in the face of life’s adventure. Described as 7 "happy" pieces of furniture because of their practical nature, their meaning and their personal engagement in the way they are used.
The collection includes; Silla Paz (Peace Chair), that hugs and comforts the sitter; Mesita Suerte (Luck Table), that watches over you; Pared Fantasía (Fantasy Wall), which creates spaces where there is no space; the Tótem Éxtasis (Ecstasy Totem), a good luck charm based on the 4 elements; Mesa Actidud (Attitude Table), the best solution for an inspirational day's work; the Estación Alegría (Joyous Station) that connects, orders and supports; Mano Luz (Hand and Light) that lights the way!

Lafede and David Méndez Alonso
All made in Barcelona where the entire process is supervised from selection of materials to manufacture. Pine wood and metal combined with methacrylate, PVC and mirror. Each of the pieces is unique and can be made to order and customised.
