Pulp by Eugeni Quitllet

Roche Bobois

26.10.21

The Pulp collection by Eugeni Quitllet in collaboration with Roche Bobois was presented at their recently opened showroom on c/ París (corner of Balmes) during Barcelona Design Week. Including a dining table, dining chairs, arm chair and foot stool the eye-catching design looks familiar yet avant-garde at the same time. Available in a lacquered or wood finish the table is supported on legs that don’t seem to make contact with the table top. Equally with the chairs the seat seems to float while the seating elements are articulated as if they were separate parts of a single entity. The armchair and foot stool are designed in a similar approach, with a choice of upholstery: leather or fake fur.

Eugeni wanted to create two versions of the same collection, which he has managed to do with two very different materials, the first is glossy and lacquered, an expression of the malleability of the forms in movement: in off-white, Jaipur burgundy and chocolate shades, the upper part of the table is made of Fenix®, which guarantees a multifunctional use. The second finish is ash wood, solid for the legs, and with a flamed veneer for the upper part.
