Barcelona loves good design, whether it be architecture, fashion, industrial or for the home. This is one of the reasons why over 10 short years since their first shop was opened on Rambla Catalunya the Japanese brand MUJI has become such a firm local favourite. There are now 3 shops in Barcelona  as well as its popular online shop, www.muji.es. The anniversary is being celebrated with a complete refurbishment of the Rambla Catalunya shop, recently completed this September.

The refurbishment project features a simple design layout using basic materials such as wood, metal and stone to create differentiated zones which introduce new product categories like cosmetics and infusion drinks. There is now a greater emphasis on the clothing range since in recent years the fashion lines have become very popular both in Spain and the rest of the world.
