One of the most important ephemeral masterpieces of the 20th Century architecture, the iconic Mies van der Rohe Barcelona pavilion situated in the Monjuïc area of the city undergoes an artistic intervention until November 27th this month.
The project conceived by the architects Anna & Eugeni Bach turns the Pavilion into a scale model, with all its surfaces covered with a single white coloured material that focuses on the formal aspect of the architectural masterpiece; both the original and the reconstruction. The Pavilion will become, for eleven days, the scale model 1: 1 of the longest-lived temporary pavilion of modern architecture.
