Mi Casa es Diferente is a recently opened furniture showroom located in the Eixample Esquerra neighbourhood of Barcelona, at the junction of Mallorca and Urgell. Already an established online shop the project was founded by David Pons whose family background in the upholstery business first introduced him to the world of interior décor. The services offered by Mi Casa es Diferente include interior design for contract or individual projects. The space previously accommodated the Lloveras Chocolate Factory but has been completely refurbished by Pons.
The labyrinthine space includes a ground floor area that is divided into different sectors; living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom etc. A first floor area at the rear of the showroom will accommodate changing art exhibitions and events the first of which was organised by Artour-o, a platform that promotes Italian artists and art. Their art works are on display during business hours and are open to the general public. The offices and studio areas are located within the same building occupying the basement and mezzanine areas.
