Barcelona’s largest hotel suite
The consignment of new hotel construction licences to the peripheries of Barcelona means that existing hotels in the city centre are now competing with each other to a greater extent than ever. Michelin star restaurants, the refurbishment of room and public areas, luxurious spas are increasingly becoming part of the added-extras offered by the top hotels here in the city. Within this context the renowned Majestic hotel unveils its latest luxury penthouse suite measuring almost 500 sq.m., the largest in Barcelona, that includes two terraces one of which faces Passeig de Gràcia and the other overlooks the Sagrada Familia.
In addition to the terraces there is a large living area/salon, three bedrooms, a formal dining room, a fully stocked Maxi bar stocking numerous gourmet products, a unique perfume bar and three Jacuzzis. The finishes throughout are warm and imposing featuring marble, painted wallpaper (Iksel), solid oak parquet flooring and thick pile rugs and fabrics (Ralph Lauren and Gancedo). The furniture and fittings include a selection of prestigious Italian and Spanish brands while the audio-visual installation is Bang&Olufsen, also fitted in all en-suites and bathrooms.

The interior design and decoration is the work of Majorca based architect Antonio Obrador, who also carried out the previous refurbishment of the Majest Hotel & Spa Barcelona as well as other prestigious projects around the world.

The atmosphere of calm and relaxed oasis in the city centre within this latest refurbishment reflects the previous use of these rooms which formed the living quarters of the Soldevila-Casals family, founders of the hotel in the year 1918. A separate lift gives key access to the penthouse suite and the cost is approximately 15,000 Eur. a night.
