Taschen, Interiors Now 3
A collection of 34 aspirational interior design projects reflecting the domestic environments of some well know cultural figures from around the world. Aimed at both the professional and the amateur interested in beautiful homes the book also consists of detailed information from the designers about each of the projects. As Including spectacular photos and features on the various inhabitants the book is published by Taschen and edited by Margit J. Mayer, former editor of AD Architectural Digest (2000-2011) Interiors Now 3 and written by Ian Phillips.
From the New York loft belonging to photographers Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, with its walnut panelling and cozy corners reminiscent of the Eames’ style, to the peaceful idyll of Jacques Grange and the majestic palazzo of Francis Ford Coppola located in southern Italy or art dealer Michael Fuchs’ apartment in a former Berlin Jewish girls school built in the early 1930s, the projects have been selected according to personal criterion, and together provide an overview of current trends in the field of home decor.
Ian Phillips was born in Middlesbrough (England) and studied modern languages at Cambridge. Resident in Paris for more than 20 years, he lives in the former home of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s widow located on the Left Bank. He worked for numerous years as a freelance editor for the German edition of AD Architectural Digest, and is a frequent collaborator with Interior Design, Architectural Digest U.S. and Elle Décor.
