Vaselli / Espai Rö
Espai Rö plays host to Italian company Vaselli, Spirito Pietra for the next six months with the exhibition of two key installations, the Oco kitchen and Cave bathtub, both of which are designed in collaboration with Emanuel Gargano and Marco Fagioli and featuring the travertine stone favoured by the Tuscany based company.
Oco located on display within the showroom’s window is a cleverly crafted monolithic kitchen that combines wood, stone and metal which betrays a high tech craftsmanship that has been refined obsessively to reach aesthetic and practical excellence. Weighing approximately 100 kilos per metre cubed the designer’s have recently installed Oco in two period Venetian palaces and are adamant that its installation does not require any reinforcement. The travertine worktop has been specially treated to resist dirt and stains. The Cave bathtub appears to be hewn from a solid block of travertine, reddish in colour which is finished using a paste with marble powder in order to make it completely water tight. Cave has been installed at the rear of the showroom and comes with a specially patented support system that accommodates water and electrical supply.
