By Brian Gallagher 10.10.13

Recently presented at the Barcelona showroom on Av. Diagonal 468 (at the top of Rambla Catalunya, mountain side of the avenue) director Olaf Slott-Peterson unveiled the latest additions to BoConcept’s range of designer furniture, accessories and other products for the home. The Danish urban design and manufacturing company which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year represents the best of contemporary design and grown over recent years with 300 locations throughout the globe. Since 1952 BoConcept has acted as worldwide ambassador for Scandinavian design principles; utilitarian, simple and beautiful furniture offering good value for money.

Characterised by its simplicity and elegance the new collection could also be defined by its fusion of modernity with a vintage quality that is so popular in Barcelona right now and perhaps also owes a debt to Mad Men and all things 60s related. Classic reinterpretations like the Hamilton Arm Chair and foot rest, the adjustable coffee / dining table and various new sofa models. During 2013 Bo Concept collaborated on the interior design of the new ForTwo car with Mercedes-Benz / Smart which was parked outside the shop the day of the presentation. Other recent collaborations include the range of dining room furniture with renowned industrial designer Karim Rashid.
