The original of design and lifestyle concept founded in Asia arrives in Barcelona as a Pop-Up store

PAGODA & Co. is an international brand of furniture and home accessories, a concept established on fine craftsmanship and an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary design. Founded in Bangkok in 2003 by Philippe Bramaz, Capone Chowdhry and Leontien Nipshagen, the first CASA PAGODA store opened in Shanghai back in 2005. The brand took off with private retail customers and interior design projects for hospitality and private homes, subsequently expanding to cities like Moscow, Hangzhou and Beijing. This autumn of 2019, CASA PAGODA has launched its first European experience in Barcelona.

CASA PAGODA BCN opened on November 22nd with the presentation of Casa Pagoda WRKSHP, a pop-up store that will remain open until December 19th 2019, with a carefully chosen selection of complementary brands in fashion, children’s items, home accessories and cosmetics, as well as a programme of events.

    The brands on sale at Casa Pagoda WRKSHP are mostly new or recently founded ones: Bazaar Living, Batabasta, Bcn Gin, Dueros, Jnorig, Le Pure, Mila, Milk and Biscuits, MrMittens (Antwerp, Belgium), Missy Skins (Shanghai, China), Moon Water, Mosuo (Germany), With Love from Zoe, among others. All of them represent a unique aesthetic that fits well with the eclectic and modern spirit of CASA PAGODA.

    And regarding the programme of events Casa Pagoda WRKSHP will organise a wellness day for women with talks about health and sexuality, themed dinners with local and international chefs, children’s events and a Christmas market. Part of the proceeds from these will be donated to the Mar de Somnis charity for children and families with epilepsy.

    CASA PAGODA BCN is a joint creation between Leontien Nipshagen and the Barcelona local Nieves Prieto. Born in Amsterdam, Nipshagen has a degree in international business and is the co-founder of the first Pagoda House in Shanghai, in 2016 she moved to Barcelona. Prieto has a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree from the University of New York, where she worked for renowned institutions such as MOMA and Guggenheim. “We believe that Barcelona is a vibrant city, perfect for organising the first European edition of WRKSHP Pagoda House. The brands we present offer a unique selection of treasures and creativity from around the world.”
