Casa Decor 2012

Barcelona

09.11.12

Casa Decor is an initiative that provides a platform for interior designers, architects, furniture manufacturers and other professionals of the construction sector to present their work in a real setting. Now on its 20th edition in Barcelona the exhibition on this occasion takes place in a building located within the city’s ‘Quadrat d’Or’ at C. Aragon 271 (corner of Passeig de Gràcia). Thirty individual interior design proposals spread over four floors including an external terrace which can also be visited by the general public and students.

Casa Decor has an enviable success rate with its host venues, exceptionally located buildings which are quickly sold after the event. Taking place in both Madrid and Barcelona on this occasion the building dates form 1900 but was extensively remodelled in 94 according to standards of the day. Total area is 3,800 sq.m. over six floors and a basement level, for 10 years it played host to the Chicago University School of Business later to be acquired by the Alting Grupo Inmobiliario group. Up to just a few weeks ago it was leased by a firm of solicitors.
