Barcelona Design Week 2015

The Power of Design

Barcelona has established a world wide reputation for design, not just its historical achievements but also for its ongoing contemporary commitment to design as a marketable commodity for public and private enterprises. From the 8th till the 14th of June the 10th edition of the Barcelona Design Festival will be taking place offering a packed seven-day programme of events, workshops, conferences, presentations, exhibitions, lectures and debates, artistic events, installations and competitions as well as business activities and networking. This year activities connected with Eco Design and Food Design will also be included as well as a specific focus on some of the creatives and designers working within the Poblenou area of Barcelona.

Once more the Design Hub Barcelona, and now also the headquarters for BCD, provides the main stage for the most important events of the BDW. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to discover the creative potential of the city through Design Circuits and the BDW OFF program, consisting of parallel activities organized and directed by studios, creative companies and other agents from different neighbourhoods in the city of Barcelona.
