Tragaluz
n techo de cristal /
OFFERING: The emblematic restaurant Tragaluz offers a concept of Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean essence that’s based on local seasonal produce, together with a regularly updated Italian wines list. The chef Pol Vitale reflects a comprehensive spirit of Italian cuisine on his menu, with classics such as carpaccios, risottos and fresh pasta made in-house.
HIGHLIGHT: A food experience that begins in the kitchen, literally, since you have to go through it to access the dining area —an orangery—, and enjoy a meal under its glass roof that can open to the sky.
INTERIOR: A three-story house —located in a quiet passage next to the Passeig de Gràcia and a stone’s throw from La Pedrera— accomodates El Japonés on the first floor, an informal and quality Japanese tavern, with an open Sushi Bar and Robata, and the Tragaluz restaurant on the two upper floors.
RECOMMENDED: Tuna carpaccio, olive oil and Pantelleria capers; Roasted San Marzano tomatoes with smoked aubergine and pumpkin seed pesto; Pappardelle with oxtail ragu; Tagliolini cacio e pepe with truffle; Grilled tuna.
AVERAGE PRICE: À la carte, 35-45 Eur.
