PRODUCT: Josep Abril, Miriam Ponsa and Txell Miras, three of the most distinguished names on the independent Catalan fashion scene join forces here to create their own shop. Designer clothes for men and women, accessories and bespoke objects.
HIGHLIGHT: An unusual initiative within Barcelona’s Eixample neighbourhood, dominated by multinational and franchise shops. All the products on sale at NU#02 are created and produced in Barcelona or nearby.
INTERIOR: Located within an old warehouse for electrical goods measuring over 260 sq.m., an almost bare space that respects the spirit of the original building maintaining its structure and many quirky charms. The shop display window and all metal work was created by Jonathan Singleton ‘Sig’. At the back of the shop there’s a multi-purpose space that from time to time features art and photograph exhibitions.
RECOMMENDED: The leitmotiv of NU#02 is undoubtedly the men’s and women’s collections from the three designers, as well as other designer products created and manufactured in Barcelona, independent brands like Cristina Corres (bags) and Pep Monjo (shoes), selected industrial design pieces by Aparentment or the emblematic metal furniture by Jonathan Singleton.
