OFFERING: upstairs: fresh and light cuisine by chef Alex Duran based on the Mediterranean diet incorporating international influences within a modern and cosmopolitan ambience. Downstairs: Japanese tavern with a youthful ambience. HIGHLIGHT: two very different propositions each with its own distinct character in a single restaurant. INTERIOR: an emblematic design which has been recently entirely refurbished. A central bar counter and an open air terrace at the rear transform the space into a warm and luminous interior. The large square shape bar works as the neurological centre of operations; the terrace creates an oasis of calm and silence in contrast to the nearby Diagonal. RECOMMENDED: from the new Negro menu: Aubergine Croquettes, Dried Tomatoes and Parmesan; choice of Ceviches including the Spicy Corvina, avocado and corn; Grilled Octopus with potato and cayenne pepper; or the grilled Beef Tenderloin with celery and mushrooms.
