Mordisco

A singular restaurant created by Rosa Esteva

OFFERING: Seasonal, healthy Mediterranean cuisine that imaginatively works with quality local products and upgrades them to a higher category. Unusual preparations, to eat at any time of the day in a laid back place, designed with good taste, and with a unique and fun ambience, surrounded by interesting people, regulars of the house.
HIGHLIGHT: Its creator, Rosa Esteva, a pioneering figure who revolutionized the Barcelona restaurant scene in 1986, when she opened the first Mordisco in Rosselló / Pg. de Gràcia. Tireless in devising recipes, intuitive and detail-oriented, “everything I have done has been with love.” If you meet her there, she will seduce you with her attention.
INTERIOR: By Sandra Tarruella. The main dining room is an interior glazed courtyard, filled with light and life, and with the Mariscal painting that has always accompanied Mordisco. There are ideal spaces for groups and events. It is unmistakable in the Passatge where it’s located due to the green words “bitten” on the façade, a design by Eskenazi.
RECOMMENDED: Classics like Hot beef carpaccio, the Open tortilla and the rice dishes (also in individual portions). Try the Iberian pork dumplings, vegetables, coriander, peanuts and hoisin.
AVERAGE PRICE: 35 Eur.
