Gastronomic 'design vermuterie'
OFFERING: Mediterranean and Market cuisine, using fresh ingredients of the best quality. For lunch or dinner, the menu includes a wide variety of Galician seafood, Basque grilled meats, Mediterranean fish and rice dishes, accompanied with a fine selection of varied wines; the chef recommends the barbecue of "shells", the "Iberian secret" rice with seafood, the steak tartar cut with a knife or a good T-bone steak grilled over charcoal. Also, a wide selection of tapas and typical small dishes including Cantabrian anchovies 00, Normandy oysters, homemade oxtail croquettes or grilled cockles, perfect for accompanying their selection of vermouth or beers such as Paulaner or Amstel Gold.
HIGHLIGHT: La Vermuterie is a gastronomic 'design vermuterie' located in the heart of the Barcelona Eixample, open every day from 9am till late and with an uninterrupted kitchen service starting at lunchtime.
INTERIOR: The corner location, on the ground floor of a modern building at the intersection of Muntaner and Londres, is framed by panoramic windows to the street and terrace directly outside. A long bar counter runs the entire length of the restaurant which is provided with a combination of separate tables and banquette seating. The décor is defined by its mix of warm materials such as the vintage wooden panels and fabric curtains that lend the space a cozy feel. The subtle lighting scheme includes the award winning Wireflow chandelier manufactured by Barcelona company Vibia in addition to recessed and more ambient lighting. A place to spend time.
RECOMMENDED: Having an after work vermouth of course and sampling the cocktails. Not forgetting the home made desserts, especially the pastel de zanahoria y el pastel de queso.
