INTERIOR: A ‘tavern’ located within the Hotel España, a jewel of the Catalan Moderism style, the work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner from the beginning of the 20th century which has been completely rehabilitated to respond to contemporary standards while retaining its essence. A visit to the rest of this first class historical restoration and refurbishment project is highly recommended. RECOMMENDED: the ‘Beach’ Prawn & Clam Rice; Butifarra del Perol ‘Trinxat’ (potatoes, cabbage & pork), Poached Eggs and Sweet Chick Pea and Truffle Juice; Tako of Grilled Ventresca (Tuna Belly), Cream of Marmitako and Asparagus and Sautéed Garlic; White Garlic Soup, Smoked Sardines and “Marcona” Almond Ice Cream.
