OFFERING: Traditional Catalan cuisine with fresh and seasonal organic produce, straight from the market. The menu put together by Miki Calzado includes a wide variety of tapas, aperitifs, classic re-invented Catalan favourites, rice dishes, fish and desserts. HIGHLIGHT: The balance between gastronomy and the space, wholesome produce, price and personal attention are the principal ingredients of this new Barcelona recipe. INTERIOR: Located within the recently refurbished Ninot Market building, the stand recreates the busy life of the market stall. Access is via an open terrace towards the street with plants, bicycle stands and benches from which to contemplate life and the passing crowds. The dining area is a warm and pleasant space with views upwards to the original roof structure. One of the interior design highlights is the spacious marble bar to sit or read the papers while having a quick snack, the kitchen is semi-open and a large screen is decorated with a series of portraits of market stall vendors. RECOMMENDED: The Squid Croquetas, the Monkfish and rice dishes. PRICE: 25-30 Eur. Midday set-lunch menu: 14 Eur.
