Doro Tableware
Japanese tableware
What does Doro mean? It’s the word Japanese potters call the clay they use to mould or turn plates, bowls, small bowls, trays, cups, soy and
sake jugs, as well as teapots... for home and restaurant use (due to its durability), for decorating spaces, or for collecting. HIGHLIGHT: Fabiola
Lairet, sushi chef and founder of the restaurants Monster Sushi and Robata (owned by the Umai Group since 2021), is now exploring a new
but connected business venture, a fascinating shop selling authentic artisan Japanese tableware, made of Minoyaki ceramics, which she
brings to Barcelona from the workshops of the Gifu region, in the central area of Japan. INTERIOR: A loft style space that is filled with sensual
surprises, beautiful design and a tactile quality, five hundred different models —some signed by their creators— selected from among fifteen
thousand, all of them are traceable origin. Each piece handmade with unique imperfections, guaranteed to elevate table settings with diverse
yet timeless and versatile styles, in distinctive colours such as Oribe green, Shino white or Seto black. RECOMMENDED: Get advice when
combining different pieces or choosing them for interior design projects.
