OFFERING: A menu that celebrates the rich Catalan and Mediterranean culinary tradition, with the contributions of chef Albert Pineda, in a converted establishment that merges past and present. HIGHLIGHT: A former hardware store, founded in 1911, it’s an example of how centuries-old establishments, which constitute a historical legacy for the city, can be reinvented without losing their character. INTERIOR: Sofía Matarazzo and Bruno Balbás, at the head of Banco de Boquerones restaurant group, transformed the interior preserving original elements such as the high ceilings, the Catalan vaults, the cast iron columns and the signs on the façade. Casa Ràfols has different spaces suitable for meetings and celebrations. RECOMMENDED: Tapas and small dishes such as the Sautéed squid with peas, the Starred eggs wiht Iberian ham (or seasonal mushrooms), the Rostit cannelloni with boletus bechamel, the rice dishes, the A la llauna cod with hummus, the Lamb ingot, the Sense feina pork trotters with foie, fennel and green apple, and des-serts such as the Recuit de drap with caramelized walnuts.
