Casa Masala

Indian cuisine bar

OFFERING: Tapas and Indian cuisine served in a local, Barcelona setting, where possibly one of the best curries in the city is served. Midday set-menu Thali tray (Monday to Friday), Biryani and curry rice served with meat or vegetables on Thursdays, the Maharajah ‘seven dish’ menu, and the special weekend menu for the vermouth, with Bombas Bombay, in-house version of the Barceloneta bomb, smoked skewers from Rooftop Smokehouse, and olives with papadum. HIGHLIGHT: Casa Masala represents the evolution of Masala 73. The new format invites customers to enjoy Indian cuisine in a different setting, but still maintaining chef Kuldeep Singh’s original recipes. INTERIOR: A stylish vintage style look, a mix of bar-counter and table seating. RECOMMENDED: Their popular Dahi puri (crispy balls of chickpea flour, stuffed with potato and legumes with yoghurt, tamarind and pomegranate), the secreto ibérico (Iberian pork shoulder) Taco vindaloo on chapati bread, the Chicken Tikka Masala (halal), and the cheese Naan made freshly on over the tandoor oven. Don’t miss the house liquor, Aromas del Punjab, created by Carles Bonnin from La Destilateca. PRICE: 28 Eur.
