Bodega Solera

Tapas d'auteur and natural wines

OFFERING: Appetizers (fried almonds, Cantabrian anchovies, gildas...), cured meats, cheese and hand-cut ham, montaditos, cans -like the Madrid-style mussels-, cold dishes such as the Russian salad or the Tomato tartare with cheese mayonnaise, arugula, pickled piparras and capers, and hot dishes like Moorish chicken or Beef au Priorat. To drink, more than 650 wines -natural and traditional- sherry, vermouth and unpasteurized beer. HIGHLIGHT: “My premises arise from an imaginary story, in this case that of an Andalusian family that arrived in Barcelona in the 60s, opened a winery and over time was able to send the children to study oenology in France, from where they returned with ideas for natural wines,” explains Kim Díaz, the owner. INTERIOR: A typical Spanish wine cellar bar appearance, with a thousand details to look at and graphics by Lo Siento. Strings of garlic coexist with French posters. Andalusian green color on the sign, the door and the staff t-shirts. And the Flores Bar, a peculiar altar dedicated to Lola Flores, wallpapered with images of ‘La Faraona’. RECOMMENDED: El Caíllo and the Marinera from Murcia by chef Dani Sánchez. PRICE: 20 €.
