Bar Pimentel

New Classic Neighbourhood Bar

OFFERING: Tapas and traditional Spanish cuisine dishes with a contemporary twist, made with seasonal market produce and fresh fish from the market, sourced daily. From the Galician zamburiñas (scallops) served with confit tomato to a Cordoban salmorejo, the gildas and cod and bean empedrat (salad), oysters, steamed mussels with citronella, coconut and kaffir lime, croquettes and bravas, potato omelette with onion and piquillos, ham and eggs or the chistorra, truffled cannelloni, a succulent meatball stew with cuttlefish, squid with garlic, parsley and kimchi sauce... Vermouth, beers, natural wines and cider.
HIGHLIGHT: The timeless spirit and management style of Martín Pimentel, who pays tribute to his grandfather Chujo, who, although he never had his own bar, would receive guests at home, together with his wife, and cook food and prepare cocktails for them. Today, those tried and tested recipes are part of the menu.
INTERIOR: Old school ambience made over in a modern style, zero pretensions and a very friendly service.
RECOMMENDED: Try the Japanese carpet clams. Take the opportunity to learn more about Chujo’s life in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic).
PRICE: 15-20 Eur.
