OFFERING: Continuous food service daily, a choice of 'petiscos' (Portuguese tapas), selection of cheeses and Portuguese cold cuts and other typical dishes where the main ingredient is cod. In the restaurant area; the 'cataplanas' (typical Portuguese casserole dish with fish and seafood), Squid Rice Stew or one of the many other meat or charcoal-grilled fish dishes. At the bar counter; the Cod Fishcakes or Suckling Pig with Pepper Sauce, Tuna Tartare with Mango or the Veal Sweetbreads with Port Wine Reduction, all accompanied by a glass of Portuguese wine. Mid-days from Monday to Friday there is a set-menu with a typical Portuguese special as well as the other options from the main menu. A selection of Portuguese pastries and desserts, among which is the famous 'Pastelito de Belém', which are still made daily in their Gracia bakery on Calle Verdi where this business first started out back in 2006.HIGHLIGHT: Authentic Portuguese cuisine that features traditional day to day recipes with a contemporary update, a selection of over 150 Portuguese wines carefully selected. The division of the space into three distinct zones allows customers to either have a coffee with 'Pastelito de Belém' on one of the terraces, have a glass of wine or take home a bottle or conserve from the wine bar/deli section, last but not least the dining area with its unique and unforgettable food. RECOMMENDED: With the arrival of the colder weather the weekend specials such as Roast Duck & Rice, Cod served with Cauliflower and Corn Bread, Roast Kid & Liver stuffed with Rice and Aromatic Herbs or the Seasonal Mushrooms with Sausage & Rice and Fig Reduction.
